Online published on 2 January, 2017. Abstract Cucumber mosaic virus was mechanically transmitted to seven crops of four different families, which produced mosaic, mottling, chlorotic spots & leaf distortion symptoms on inoculated plants and showed 17–65 per cent transmission. Zucchini yellow mosaic virus produced mosaic, vein banding and vein clearing symptoms on cucurbitaceous hosts, however, inoculum failed to induce symptomson cropsbelonging to Leguminaceae, Solanaceae and Caricaceae. No symptomswere observedon pumpkin, ridge gourd, watermelon, cowpea, green gram, soybean, brinjal, chilli, tomato and papaya plants inoculated with Tomato leaf curl virus. Top Keywords Sap inoculation, host range, CMV, ZYMV, mosaic, vein banding. Top |
