Online published on 15 December, 2016. Abstract Veterinary science differs fromhuman medicine when it comes to the number of animal species it covers, however, some of the basic physiological principles with special regards to cell functions and deleterious effects to cellular structure and functions caused by external etiologies remain comparable. Giving due consideration to the interest shown by the people to keep different animal and bird species, it becomes important to look after the basic reproductive physiology. Male reproductive system is equally important as female reproduction in veterinary science and is affected by various factors. Oxidative stress caused by production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) remains one of the important cause behind deviation in fertility of an animal. The present note deals with effects of oxidative stress on male reproductive system from veterinary stand-point of view.
