Impact of Nitrogen and Bio Regulators Enriched Poultry Manure on the Yield of Onion and Soil Fertility Status Revathi Jegan, Vasanthi D. Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India Online published on 15 December, 2016. Abstract Afield experiment was conductedat Kuppanurvillage, Thodamuthur block of Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu to evaluate the performance of nitrogen and bio regulator enriched poultry manure on the yield of Onion cv. Co (On) 5 and soil fertility status. The results showed that the yield and soil nutrient status were significantly influenced by the application of nitrogen and bio regulator enriched poultry manure when compared with control. The highest yield of onion bulbs (17.37 t/ha) was obtained by the application of enriched poultry manure at the rate 2.5 t/ha along with bio regulators enriched poultry manure at the rate of 5 kg/ha. Further, the application of poultry manure increased onion dry matter production, weight of individual bulb and bulb diameter besides improvement in the soil fertility status.
