Evaluation of Soil Fertility Status in Allalacheri Village of Arcot Taluk, Vellore District Indhumathi V., Pavithra S., Lakshmi M. Vijaya, Pravina A.E., Yuvaraj M., Nanthakumar S. Adhiparasakthi Agricultural College, Dept. of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, G.B. Nagar-Kalavai, Vellore, Tamil Nadu Online published on 23 December, 2016. Abstract A laboratory study was undertaken at the Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Adhiparasakthi Agricultural College, Kalavai, in order to evolve soil fertility status. The fifty farmers field were selected and collecting the soil sample in Allalacheri village. The soil sample is analyzed for pH, EC and available N, P, K. The results showed that the soil is low in available N, medium in available P and K and it need to be supplied with chemical fertilizers. With help of soil analyzing report to suggest suitable fertilizer recommendations for the crops grown in this area and also to suggest suitable management strategies for problem soils and finally prepare soil health card and distributing the farmers.
