Abstract

Field experiment was conducted during Summer 2014–15 at Agricultural College Farm, Raichur to know the effect of different stress mitigating compounds on quality parameters in groundnut under soil moisture stress. Experiment was laid out in randomized block design with three replications. The data indicated that there were significant differences between different stress mitigating treatments with respect to oil and protein content at harvest. The results indicated that the oil and protein content was significantly higher in control (T1) (46.53%) and (25.22%) as compared to all other treatments. While, the stressed plot (T2) recorded significantly lower oil and protein content (45.03%) and (24.07%) over all other treatments.
