Online published on 23 December, 2016. Abstract The screening of brinjal genotypes by hydroponic method revealed minimum damped-off seedlings with 50 per cent mortality were observed in Doli-5, GAOB2, GOB-1, JBGR-1 and GBL-1 followed by JBG-10208 (75%), while rest of the genotypes viz., AB-07-2, AB-08-14, JBGR-06-08 and JBL-08-08 showed cent per cent mortality within 3 to 8 days. However the genotypes JBGR-06-08, JBG-10-208, GOB-1 and GBL-1 were found moderately susceptible. AB-0814, JBL-08-08, Doli-5 and GAOB-2 genotypes were found susceptible, while the rest of genotypes were highly susceptible against the damping-off disease in soil inoculation method.
