Abstract The present investigation was conducted during winter season, 2014 at the Horticulture Research Farm, Department of Horticulture, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, BHU, Varanasi to evaluate performance of eleven genotypes of radish i.e. Ivory White, Garima, Evy White, Minu Early, Chetaki Long, Subhra-32, Pusa Sweta, Kashi Sweta, Kashi Hans, Varad-85 and Varad-130-1 under field condition and low tunnel polyhouse. The experiment was laid out in randomized complete block design with three replications. Result indicates that Garima has given best performance under both field and as well as low tunnel polyhouse conditions. Under field and low tunnel polyhouse condition, among the Garima recorded with maximum plant height (67.38 cm and 64.32 cm), greater leaf length (34.51 cm and 45.71 cm), maximum leaf width (12.34 cm and 9.05 cm), maximum number of leaves/plant (20.33 and 13.91), maximum fresh weight of leaf (113.39 g and 20.30 g), greater chlorophyll content (43.90 and 45.60), greater length of root (29.49 cm and 37.37 cm), maximum diameter of root (5.76 cm and 2.40 cm), maximum weight of root (172.57 g and 93.15 g) and maximum whole plant weight (285.94 g and 168.72 g) respectively.
