Abstract Field experiment was conductedduring Summer 201415 at Agricultural College Farm, Raichur to know the effect of different stress mitigating compounds on quality parameters in groundnut under soil moisture stress. Experiment was laid out in randomized block design with three replications. The data showed that control (T1) recorded significantly higher nitrate reductase activity (NRA), total chlorophyll content and Chlorophyll stability index over all other treatments, Whereas, stressed plot (T2) recorded lower values for these parameters as compared to other stress mitigating treatments. Proline content at different stages indicated that control had significantly lower proline content (36.63 ìg.g-1 fr.wt.) as compared all other treatments where as stressed plot (T2) had the maximumproline content (89.37 ìg.g-1 fr.wt.).
