Abstract The experiment was conducted at Commercial fruit nursery, College of Horticulture, Dr. PDKV, Akola during 2011–12 to study the effect of different growth substances on seed germination and seedling growth in papaya. The investigation was carried out with twelve treatments and laid out in randomized block design with three replications. Different growth substances were used like GA3, NAA and thiourea as treatments. The result of experiment revealed that seed germination and seedling growth of papaya is influenced by GA3 application.
