Analysis of Genetic Divergence in Lentil (Lens culinaris Medik.) Singh Manoj Kumar Genetics and Plant Breeding, T.D.P.G. College, Jaunpur, email: mksinghtdc@gmail.com Online published on 15 December, 2016. Abstract The experiment was carried out to study the genetic divergence for yield and its contributing traits in fifteen genotypes of lentil. All genotypes were grouped into four cluster. The lowest number of genotypes in cluster II while maximum number of genotypes equally distributed in cluster III and IV. The entries of cluster I and cluster IV were highly diverse from each other as it showed maximum inter cluster distance. Highest mean value for plant height, pods/plant and yield/plant were observed in cluster III. The members of cluster III were identified as promising donor for plant height, pods/plant, biomass/plant and seed yield. Top Keywords lentil, cluster, genetic divergence, D2. Top | |
