Data envelopment analysis was applied to obtain the extent of efficiency across the FPOs. Probit regression model was applied to identify different factors influencing farmers to join FPOs in the study area. Further, to obtain the constraints faced by the FPOs, Garrett ranking technique was used. The findings indicate that there is considerable scope to improve the efficiency across FPOs by rearranging the available resources. With appropriate policy intervention towards addressing the constraints faced by the FPOs can play pivotal role in improving efficiency of the FPOs and consequently the livelihood of the member farmers.
