Abstract Livestock are the domesticated animals raised in an agricultural setting to provide labor and produce commodities such as meat, eggs, milk, fur, leather and wool. Around 20.5 million people are depending upon livestock for their livelihood and it is also contributing more than 4% to our GDP and more than 25% of total Agriculture GDP. According to 20th Livestock Census 2019, which was carried out in about 6.6 lakhs villages and 89 thousand urban wards across the country covering more than 27 crores of Households and Non Households. The livestock provides food and non-food items to the people. The livestock provides food items such as Milk, meat, and eggs for human consumption. India is number one milk producer in the world. It is producing about 176.34 million tones of milk in a year. In India, eggs producing about 95.22 billion and also producing about 7.7 million tones of meat in a year. The value of output of livestock sector at current prices was Rs.9,17,910 crore at current prices during involved in this are the livestock owners (producers), middle-men and consumers. Livestock and their products are facing problems and in marketing also there are many defects. In this paper livestock status and their products market and problems in livestock marketing problems are focusing.
