Ltd., Bharathinagar, Mandya District, during 2014 and 2015 to study the effect of sugarmill effluent (SME) irrigation ongrowthandyield of ratoon sugarcane with eight treatments replicated thrice using RCBD. Significantly higher ratoon sugar cane yield (101.6 and 98.6 t ha−1) and yield parameters viz., single cane weight (1.5 kg) and number of millable canes (101.8 and 99.4 thousands ha−1) was higher in cycle of 3 irrigation with fresh water (FW) + 1 irrigation with sugar mill effluent + RDF and cycle of 2 irrigation with FW + 1 irrigation with SME + RDF treatments and significantly lower cane yield (77.9 t ha−1) and yield parameters (0.7 kg and 75.2 thousands ha−1) were recorded in treatment which received irrigation with treated sugar mill effluent without any fertilizers. Top Keywords Sugarcane, sugar mill effluent, cane yield. Top |
