Abstract Fifteen Konkan Kanyal goats were randomly distributed into five type roof housing systems viz., Asbestos roof house, green net roof house, local dry grass roof house, paddy straw roof house and coconut leaves roof house. The animals were maintained under semi-intensive system of management to study the effect of housing system on physiological parameters. The results indicated that management system did not have any significant difference in the physiological parametersof Konkan Kanyalgoats. However, looking the cost of the dry grass roof housing as compared to asbestos thatch roof house, green shed net roof, paddy straw roof and coconut leaves roof house were more economical. Therefore dry grass roof housing was found suitable for this region. Top Keywords Housing system, Konkan Kanyal goat, physiological parameters. Top |
