Abstract

The experiment was conducted at research field of Department of Agril. Botany, Dr. PDKV Akola (M.S), during Kharif season 2013 to study the yield and correlation studies of soybean under different sowing dates. Experiment was laid out in Factorial Randomized Block Design, replicated three times. In research findings, all verities showed better performance when sown at June 21st. In response to yield contributing traits sowing date June 21st and variety JS-335 produced the maximumnumber of pods plant−1, seeds pod−1 and seed yield plot−1. Highest grain yield (2585 kg ha−1) was recorded by sowing date June 21st which was significantly superior over July 11th sowing (2372 kg ha−1) and statistically at par with July 01st sowing (2489 kg ha−1). In respect of verities JS-335 gave the highest grain yield (2703 kg ha−1), which was statistically at par with TAMS-9821 but significantly superior over rest of the varieties. In correlation studies, the number of Pods plant−1showed significant and positive correlation (r = 0.703**, 0.375 and 0.332) with grain yield (qt.) ha.−1at three different sowing dates.
