Online published on 15 December, 2016. Abstract Total 78 dogs screened which exhibited clinical signs of anemia at Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex during the period of May 2015 to December 2015. Out of this, 51 dogs positive for anemia diagnosed based on physiological as well as hematological parameters indicating 65.38 per cent incidence of anemia. The highest incidence observedin adult group (58.83%) as well as male dogs (52.94%). The breedwise high incidence observed in Labrador breed (35.29%). The common signs associated with anaemia are; pallor mucous membranes, weakness, tachypnoea, tachycardia, increased capillary refill time and sometimes icteric and congested mucous membrane in acute cases of anemia.
