Uttar Pradesh is the largest producer of the potato in the country with a share of 28.70% in total area in the country. Potato is a semi-perishable crop and every year the fluctuations can be seen in the arrivals and prices of the crop. The present study carried out in the selected five markets of the Uttar Pradesh to the analyse the behaviour of arrivals and prices including the Agra market which is the largest potato producing district. The annual growth rate in the area and production of the potato was found positive and significant i.e. 3.13 % and 3.28 % respectively. The variability in the monthly arrivals and prices of potato was found maximum Lucknow and Bareilly market respectively. The effect of the monthly arrivals on prices was negative and significant. The low value of R2 depicts the little effect of arrivals on prices. The seasonal index of the arrivals showed that arrivals were maximum from December to March and prices were low during these months. The correlation among all market prices was significantly positive depicting moderate to high market integration.
