Analytics of agriculture credit-output nexus and human development in India

Abstract

This paper studies the relationship between agricultural bank credit-output and Human development for 29 states of India for the period 1991 to 2018. Long-term relationship between credit and Human Development. This study is divided among five regions which are Northern India, Western India, Eastern India , North Eastern India and Southern India. The objective of this study is to look how agriculture credit promotes human development. The hypothetical assumption of our study is that distribution of credit determines the standard of livings among these regions. Methodology, we have used maxima and minima method and regression model to analysis the data. The findings of this study shows that development is reinforced by credit and on the other side the inequalities of credit distribution hackles development in particular regions.
