Abstract Attempts were made to evaluate phytochemical properties of Mucuna pruriens and Flemingia stricta, the two medicinal plants. Those were analyzed for Phenolics, Flavonoids, Anthocyanins as well as DPPH scavenging activities. Flemingia stricta contained maximum Phenolics and flavonoids. Anthocyanin content was maximum in Mucuna pruriens. The leaves of Flemingia stricta showed maximum antioxidant property.
