Abstract

In today's date when we talk about HRD, we will talk it only in terms of organisational context. But the fact is that the field is more diverse and still emerging in nature. Numbers of definitions areexisted and came up to explain whatHRD is but still today there is no single and straight definition. The HRD field is relatively young, has strong and deep roots in field such as training and development, developmental psychology, and organizational change and developments (Evarts 1998, Gilley & England 1998; McLagan 1989). The present paper is about an overview of multiperspectival approach to theory and practice in HRD. It is also suggested to focus on contributions made to HRD and learnings out of those contributions.
