Online published on 16 February, 2013. Abstract Present in vitro investigation was done in order to know and prelude the impact of pre sowing seed treatment of some biological agents on germination, seedling establishment and vigour in wilt affected lentil seeds. The different pre sowing seed treatments showed different responses. Treatment with Nuclear Poly-hedrosis virus (NPV) followed by treatment with Trichoderma viride and with the combination of T.viride + N.P.V seeds were found superior for germination (99%, 97% and 96%), than to control Root length (5.52cm, 5.08cm and 4.98cm), shoot length (14.94cm, 14.74cm and 13.62cm), seedling length (20.46cm, 19.82cm and 18.60cm), dry weight (0.492gm, 0.472gm and 0.396gm), vigour index-1 (2025.54, 1922.54 and 1785.60), vigour index-2 (38.808, 35.712 and 35.136) respectively. Among all treatments Vitavax exhibited poorest performance as compared to all treatments including control. Top Keywords Wilt, germination, seedling length, vigour, lentil. Top |
