Abstract

The overall averages for the shank length, heart girth and level length were 5.636±0.054, 32.370±0.519 and 1l.258±0.1l5 cm respectively in Khaki Campbell; 5.775±0.026, 29.531±0.254 and 10.330±0.056 cm in Desi and 5.353±0.028, 30.754±0.268 and 10.212±0.59 em in crossbred ducks. The least square analysis of variance revealed significant influence of genetic group and sex of birds on shank length, heart girth and keel length. Desi ducks were found to possess significantly longer shank, whereas for heart girth and keel length significantly higher values were obtained for Khaki Campbell ducks. Males were found to possess greater means than the females in respect of all the three measurement traits.
