Molecular Characterization of Wheat (Triticum Species) Using Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA Marker Aware S.A.*, Potdukhe N.R., Thakare S.V. Department of Agriculture Botany, Post Graduate Institute, Dr. P.D.K.V, Akola (M.S.) *Email: sonaliaware54@gmail.com
Online published on 23 December, 2016. Abstract Genetic diversity among twenty four genotypes of wheat was studied using RAPD marker analysis. A total of twenty RAPD primers were used for screening of twenty four genotypes out of which a total 59 fragments were amplified with the eight primers 44 per cent of which polymorphic with 15 per cent were monomorphic. The wheat genotypes were clustered into two major groups first group includes two wheat genotypes while second group includes all rest of wheat genotypes. The highest similarity was observed between AKW-619 and AKAW-4754. Top Keywords Wheat, genetic diversity, genotype, RAPD markers. Top | |
