Host range of Loranthus in Konkan region of Maharashtra Sawant U.K., Sardeshpande J. S., Kadam J. J., Joshi M. S. Department of Plant Pathology, Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Konkan Krishi Vidyapeeth, Dapoli-415712, (M.S), India. Abstract In the present study, 60 hosts of Loranthus were recorded. All the host plants are perennial, woody and dicotyledonous. Forest trees predominate in the host range by recordmg maximum 35 hosts, followed by 10 hosts of fruit trees, 8 hosts of forest shrubs and 7 hosts of ornamental plants. Out of these 60 hosts, 19 are reported as hosts for the first time in the world. The infestation of Loranthus was more on wild trees than the trees in managed orchards like that of mango.
