Abstract

Crude powder extracts of Andrographis paniculata and Azadirachta indica each with concentrations @ 50 gm and 75 g were incorporated in mineral supplemented feed blocks to study the anthelmintic efficacy of these blocks against gastro-intestinal nematodes in goat and compared to fenbendazole incorporated @ 5 mg/kg b.wt. feed blocks. Detection of anthelmintic efficacy was done by FECRT using modified Mc Master method. Feed block containing A. indica showed efficacy of 97.75% @ 75 g concentration on 7th day and with A. paniculata, efficacy was 92.10% on 14th day @50 g concentration.
