Abstract One of the developmental means of economic agencies in the recent world is the establishment of project management and development of organizational thought based on project. To fulfill this significant issue, first, there is the necessity of providing project managers' informational needs as one of the prerequisites of appropriate project management implementation. According to the quantity and importance of executive projects in the municipality of Tehran as a megalopolis, this paper's aim is, ranking informational needs of project managers of this organization based on Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) as a project management standard. This standard has organized project management information into nine areas of knowledge. Study population in this research includes 19 managers of Tehran municipality constructional projects. The necessary data were collected by a questionnaire, which has 166 pair comparisons; afterwards, the data analyzed and ranked by the use of Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process. Moreover, among various approaches of fuzzy information analysis for multi-criteria decision-makings, we have used an approach called Extent Analysis Method (EA). The results stipulates that based on the applied standard in this research, information relating to project management,cost management and human resource management of the project; in order of importance, had been the most outstanding informational needs for the managers of Tehran municipality constructional projects. However, information relating to communication management, risk management and construction site management was investigated as the final preferences of the population for investigation.
