After the formation of WTO, many trade related agreements were signed including the Agreements on Agriculture (AOA). The AOA aimed at dismantling trade barriers in the agriculture sector. The present article aims at evaluating the impact of new economic reforms and WTO agreement on the export of agricultural products from 1990–91 to 2010–11. The study reveals that during first and second decades of liberalization, the agricultural export recorded lower growth rate as compared to India's total export.
