Abstract

An experiment was conducted tofind outtheeffect ofsowing time and effect of levels of fertilizer on growth and yield of green gram and to study the interaction effect between sowing time and levels of fertilizer on green gram. The experiment was laid out in FRBD. The gross size ofplot was 5.4 m x4.5 m and net plot size was 4.5 m x 3.6 m. There were twelve treatment combinations with four sowing time's i.e. 25 MW (S1), 26 MW (S2), 27 MW (S3) and 28 MW(S4)and three levels of fertilizer75% RDF (F1), 100% RDF (F2) and 125% RDF (F3) were taken. Sowing was done by dibbling method and application of fertilizer according to treatments through DAP and urea. The recommended cultural practices and plant protection measures were undertaken. The crop was harvested at its maturity. From the result of experiment, it can be concluded that the sowing during 25 MW (18 June) and 26 MW (26 June) were found beneficial as compaired to other sowing times. Among the different levels of fertilizer, the application of 100% RDF (25: 50: 00 NPK Kg ha−1) was more profitable.
