Online published on 2 January, 2017. Abstract An experiment was conducted at College University Orchard Tamil Nadu during the year 2012–2014. To study the effect of different doses of nutrient for growth and physiological characters in banana cv. Grand Naine banana. The treatment consisted of M1 (150: 50: 150g NPK/Plant) M2 (200: 50: 200 g NPK/Plant) with M3 (250: 50: 250g NPK/Plant), M4 (300: 50: 300g NPK/Plant) and M5 (165: 52.5: 495g NPK/Plant). The growth characters in terms of Leaf area (16.0 m2/plant), Leaf area index (4.94) and Soluble protein content (24.6 mg/g) was observed maximum in treated with M4(300: 50: 300g NPK/Plant) as compared to control.
