Abstract Plant parasitic nematodes are one among the major pests attacking crop plants. Nematicides, mainly soil fumigants are being widely used against these pests of agriculture. The wide spread thrust given for sustainable control methods than chemical control measures stimulates research for alternatives, safe to environment and other living beings. This review is about the nematicidal potential of a natural biopolymer, chitin. Top Keywords nematodes, nematicides, fumigants, sustainable, biopolymer, chitin. Top |
