Online published on 15 December, 2017. Abstract Objectives Definition of quality of life is affected by a number of factors. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between marital intimacy and quality of life of the staff in Khuzestan Water and Electricity Organization. Method This study was conducted by the correlation design on the married staff of the Khuzestan Water and Electricity Organization in 2016, of whom, 265 staff were selected using the multi-stage randomized sampling method. Bagarozi Marital Intimacy Questionnaire and The World Health Organization Quality of Life Questionnaire were used for data collection. Data were analyzed using SPSS software and Pearson correlation and multivariate linear regression tests. Findings There is a significant positive relationship between dimensions of intimacy and quality of life of the staff (F=9.75, p< 0.0001). Stepwise regression analysis also showed that only intellectual intimacy can predict the quality of life of the staff (r=0.43). Conclusion Marital intimacy increases quality of life of the staff and as physical, spiritual, aesthetical, social, emotional, psychological, intellectual and sexual intimacy of the staff increases, their quality of life increases, too.
