It's a situation where the old and experienced in an organization realize that they're not in touch with the future the same way the young generation. They come with fresh eyes, open minds, and instant links to the technology of our future. A research was conducted to get the response of senior executives and lower level employees towards reverse mentoring. It was concluded that if seniors and subordinates shed their ego and attitude, a new kind of relationship gets developed. Senior executives therefore should catch hold of a junior and try to adapt to new management and leadership styles. Experts say that while the concept can be introduced across all industries, it works best for sectors where technology plays a vital role. Reverse mentoring is a great concept, but it doesn't just happen on its own. Top |
