Online published on 5 September, 2013. Abstract Stevia is a natural sweetener which can be used to regulating blood sugar. Stevia leaf also contains various vitamins and minerals including vitamins A and C, zinc, chromium, magnesium, manganese, potassium, selenium vitamin B3 and iron. It can be used for weight loss as it reduces the appetite, also it can be used to suppress tobacco and alcohol cravings. In the present study the glycemic index and the chemical analysis of stevia products is analyzed. In was found that glycemic index of the products is low and they also have very high nutritive value.
