Abstract

Antigonistic activity of Trichoderma harzianum against Fusarium spp were observed under in vitro. Rice bran based culture of T. harzianum was found effective for control of damping off and root rot of brinjal in vivo trials. Carbendazim was also found effective and at par with T. harzianum in controlling disease. In nursery, carbendazim was found to be giving higher germination percentage but this effect was not throughout experiment. However, on 30th day of sowing rice bran based T. harzianum, reported maximum disease control which was followed FYM based T.harzianum. The studies on sensitivity of T. harzianum. to fungicides indicated that all systemic fungicides were found cobpletely inbibiting growth of T. hariziamum whereas, Zineb, copper hydroxide, Mancozeb and copper oxychloride were found safe for the growth of T. harzianum. The copper, sulphur, fungicides were again screened by mycelhal dry weight method. Zineb was found to be safe for T. harzianum amongst all fungicides tested.
