Abstract In his study made an attempt to analysis the working capital management of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). The period covered in this study is ten years commencing from 1999–2000 to 2008–2009 which is supposed as a normal and stable period. He concluded that the overall position of the working capital is satisfactory, but there is a need for improvement in certain factors. The major portion of the current assets is the form of inventory. The investment in current assets should consider liquidity, profitability and solvency. It is very important to trade off between liquidity and profitability by properly arranging the needed funds at right time period and sources. Top |
