Efficacy of fungicidal spray schedules in controlling ber powdery mildew Thind S.K., Kaur Nirmaljit, Aulakh P.S. Abstract Three spray schedules of fungicides during mid September, mid-October and mid-November (Schedule -1); mid-September, mid-October, mid-November and mid-December (Schedule - II) and September, early October and end-October (Schedule - III) were tried. Three fungicides namely, Bayleton 25 WP (0.05%), Karathane 48 EC (0.1%) and Sulfex 80 WP (0.25%) were applied to the 20-years old ber plants cv. Umran in the orchard of PAU, Regional Fruit Research Station, Abohar during cropping seasons of 2004–05 and 2005–06. Spray schedule - II was significantly effective in checking the disease and increasing the ber yield. Amongst the fungicides, Bayleton 25WP was more effective and economical than Karathane and Sulfex. Top Keywords Spray schedules, ber powdery mildew, fungicidal control. Top |
