Online Published on 29 January, 2022. Abstract Climate and agriculture are intensely interconnected with global processes and even a small change in climate adversely affects agricultural activities. The present investigation was carried out in Rajasthan Aravalli region. Data were collected on related parameters from 240 respondents of Udaipur, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh and Rajsamand districts of Rajasthan. In the study, it was found that farm practices like sowing time, pesticide use and overall health of the crops were adversely impacted by climate change in all the cases. Whereas, more than 85 per cent respondents also observed negative impact of climate change on the agricultural practices like crops grown (87.50%), cropping pattern (86.66%) and number of irrigations (85.41%). No effects of climate change were found only on FYM application (78.75%) and seed treatment (72.50%). However, impact of climate change on allied activities indicated that it affected human health (99.16%), drinking water availability (98.33%), adversely effected livestock health (97.91%), and horticultural crop production (95.83%). It was also found that increased pollution (94.16%), extent of milk yield (93.33%) and number of animal and livestock reared (92.50%). It was colcuded that sustainable management practices needs to be deployed for minimizing the adverse effects of climate change on fragile ecologies of Aravalli and similar ecologies.
