Abstract The current economic crisis cannot be an excuse to postpone international mobilization of funds to halt climate change – said by Chilean President Michelle Bachelet said recently in India. Crisis avoidance can be as mundane as the internal financial controls that prevent embezzlement or the squandering of corporate resources. Some crises are self-inflicted.
