Abstract

Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) is a collective term embracing all the problems relating to the TMJ and related musculoskeletal structures. Pain caused by temporomandibular disorders originates from either muscular or articular conditions, or both. Correct diagnosis is essential for right treatment strategy. This paper represents a review about the methods of diagnosis, treatment, postoperative exercises and care related to temporomandibular disorders.
