Summary

Whole tick paste was prepared using both nymphs and adult of Hyalomma hussaini collected from the ear lobes of individual sheep and goats and applied on ticks attached to the ears of the same animals after noting the tick count. The two trials conducted in sheep showed the maximum reduction/efficacy of 39.99 and 39.88 per cent on day 6. Similar trials on goats recorded 43.48 and 63.02 per cent reduction/efficacy on day 4 and 6 of application respectively.
