Human Resource Management Practices in Organized Retailing a Study of Select Retailers in Warangal District Bhaskar Nalla, Assistant Professor St. Joseph's P.G. College, Rampur (V), Dharmasagar Mandal, Warangal District, Andhra Pradesh Online published on 2 June, 2012. Abstract The success of organizations are largely depends on its human resources. The HRM plays vital role in performing the activities that leads to achieve the organizational objectives. The Organized retailing in India is undergoing a metamorphosis and is expected to scale up to meet global standards. The entry of global players in retailing business has created huge challenges to the Indian companies. Having been realized the transformation of traditional fragmented family run industry to an organized one, the organized retailers are strengthening their business with the help of HRM activities. The HRM practices and the employee satisfaction became the primary concern for the organized retailers to sustain in the market. Hence, the present empirical study will focus on the HRM practices implemented in the select organized retailers in Warangal District of Andhra Pradesh state. The study further throws light on the problems and challenges for the HR managers in successful implementation of HRM activities.
