Prospects of On-Line Education in Uttaranchal

Abstract

Study conducted on 1180 students and 200 teachers belonging to engineering, general sciences, professionals and arts revealed that only 4.23% of graduates and 2.83% of teachers are acquainted with Information I. Technology. Around 50% of engineering followed by 26.52% of general science graduates were acquainted with the IT Majority of students (73.92%) were of opinion that being poor multimedia facilities as well as poor knowledge of faculty the progress of development in this sector is poor. It.needs certain policy measures to be implemented to make it fast and more useful.
