Abstract Study conducted on 1180 students and 200 teachers belonging to engineering, general sciences, professionals and arts revealed that only 4.23% of graduates and 2.83% of teachers are acquainted with Information I. Technology. Around 50% of engineering followed by 26.52% of general science graduates were acquainted with the IT Majority of students (73.92%) were of opinion that being poor multimedia facilities as well as poor knowledge of faculty the progress of development in this sector is poor.
