Abstract Users’ attitude, consequent on the admittance of information and communication technology in libraries has witnessed a dramatic change as needs have changed from traditional to electronic form. Need-based, authentic, reliable, pinpointed information are the call of the hour for growth and development of teaching and research. However, traditional libraries cannot be ruled out as they provide proliferated information to users in spite of the fact that libraries, whether academic, public or special, provide information depending on the users’ need. Academic libraries, based on the type of institution, disseminate information to their users. This study relates to an analytical study on the theme of the users’ attitude of the Government Hrangbana College library in Mizoram, including discussions on collection development, information need, library finance, library resources and services provided to its users. Top Keywords Users’ attitude, Information need, Collection development, Library resources, Infrastructure, Library orientation. Top |
