Abstract Agricultural education is receiving increasing attention from policy makers and academics to make more performance oriented and competitive. Looking to the developments in educational technology and need for quality teaching in agriculture, the present study was conducted to throw light on training preferences to enhance quality teaching as perceived by the supervisors. Supervisors mentioned that training in curriculum design and teaching skills-are most needed but should not be of more than d week venue should be same campus or any other SAU, ideal size of trainee group be 11–20, experts in education/communication as a resource person, CDs should be distributed as support material.
