Influence of Organics on the Activity of Defense Enzymes in Paddy Sridhar D., Patil M.B. Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture, Raichur-584 101 Abstract Attempts were made to study the Influence of organics on the activity of defense enzymes viz., phenols, peroxidases and phenylalanine ammonia lyase at different growth stages of paddy. Increased activity of all these enzymes noticed in all the treatments compared to control (farmer's practice) at all the stages. However, treatment supplemented with FYM (farm yard manure) at 10 t/ha + Green manure (Glyricidia) at 5 t/ha + Neem cake (soil application) at 375 kg/ha + Trichoderma harzianum (soil application) at 130 kg/ha + Trichoderma harzianum (soil application) at 130 kg/ha + Beejamrutha (root dip) at 125 1/ha + NSKE five per cent (foliar spray). + Pseudomonas fluorescens at 2 g/1 (foliar spray) was found numerically superior over other treatments with highest enzyme activity.
