Abstract The main aim of this paper is to examine the Role of financial inclusion in achieving inclusive Growth in North East India. This study employs secondary data from various sources like DONER, North Eastern Region Data Bank, National Sample and Economic Surveys etc. This paper is an attempt to understand and emphasize the importance of inclusive growth in North East India. This study investigate the promise of microfinance in the inclusion of poor, who have been left outside the gamut of formal financial markets for a long period of time. The study analyse the need, importance, status and Role of financial inclusion in achieving GSDP, NSDP, in reducing poverty, reducing unemployment, reducing inequality through microfinance, SHG and other services on the small firms and household economy of the members. This study also explores the challenges and issues of inclusive growth in North East India. Finally, this paper suggests how the inclusive growth can be achieved through financial inclusion in North East India. Top |
